MARC FIELD DAY 2004
Ho'okipa Maui

|
|
| Phil tunes the linear while Joe and Charlie
help...OK, Joe and Charlie watch. |
Joann and Karen ponder the meaning of life
and the meaning of Field Day |
Phil and Bob take a break from operating while
Joann rests in the Jeep |
|
|
|
| The Col. makes lunch. |
Bob at the mic with Charlie waiting for his
turn. |
Karen and Phil grill up steak and chicken while Joe, AH6RQ, gives unsolicited advice. |
|
|
|
| The site at dusk.
We operated out of the bus. |
Phil and Karen Grill without the
benifit of Joe's advice. Much better! |
The Smiley face was still there
to keep us happy. |
|
|
|
| Let there be light.
The light and generator made walking around in the tall grass much easier
after dark. |
Lane's GPS was used
to help locate the USGS marker to assist in tower location for the
Rhombic. Locating the prefered tower spots was made difficult because of
the tall grass. |
Some of the breathtaking
scenery from our site. |
