Everything on this map is on the air right now except Puu Nana, Puu Kelia and the Crater repeater.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The Haleaka Repeater on 147.02 is now KH6HPZ/R. This repeater was designated KH6H/R. KH6HPZ is the Hawaii State RACES Assn - State Civil Defense. KH6H is still the control operator.

This  RACES repeater  requires a sub-audible tone of 103.5 for access 
(effective May 13,2012). You must program the 103.5 Hz tone on your transmit frequency (147.62)

Simplex frequencies are used when repeater(s) are not operational or as a supplement to repeater communications when stations are in close proximity to each other, making repeater use unnecessary. All frequencies are shared when not needed for organized Amateur Radio Activities.
Two frequencies – 1 MHz apart, are allocated for each district. The islands of Lanai and Moloka‘i have one frequency each in the 147 MHz band but can use other allocated frequencies on a non-interfering basis. Frequencies are suggested only and local net control stations and individual operators are encouraged to use the open and optional frequencies as needed to minimize interference and maximize efficiency.
CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Upcountry Branch includes the communities of Pukalani, Kula, Makawao, Hali‘imaile, Haiku and Paia. The East Maui frequency allocation includes Paia as simplex communications to and from the Upcountry area may be difficult.
